Tyler Barberis | Clinical Psychologist and Therapist | Therapy Bryanston Sandton Fourways Johannesburg

Basic Information about Me as a Psychologist and Therapist
Hi, I'm Tyler Barberis and I'm an experienced and dedicated male clinical psychologist and therapist with over 10 years of experience. I've worked in a range of settings, with a wide range of difficulties and disorders. I'm currently based at the Baby and Child Wellness Centre on Bryanston drive in Sandton, Johannesburg and I work both in-person and online with adults, couples and teens (from age 16 up).
I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and thoughtful place for my patients to process the issues they're facing; including developing better ways of managing or coping with feelings, improving self-esteem, and better managing relationships they're struggling with. Head to my contact me page to message me for an appointment.
Although I have a special interest in personality issues, difficult personal or work relationships, and difficulties with impulsivity or emotional-regulation. I work with a range of different problems including depression, anxiety, substance use, disordered eating, the effects of trauma or loss, and others.
What can you expect from therapy?
Psychotherapy is, at the heart of it, about developing a deep understanding of yourself, and of people more generally. Relief from depression, anxiety disorders, symptoms of trauma, and other psychological difficulties

-
An improved sense of direction in your life, and a greater sense of personal freedom

-
A greater capacity for vulnerability or emotional honesty with the people around you
-
A development of your ability to identify, understand, and manage your feelings

-
Healthier, more intimate, and satisfying relationships, free from unnecessary conflict

-
A clearer, and more stable sense of yourself
